Went toward Richmond and decided to eat at The Flying Pig for the first time. This place was absolutely scrumptious. Our server was Jaimie and she was attentive, friendly, and helpful-we loved her and when we do drive back again will definitely be asking for her again. She was also patient with the kids while they chose and read off their orders, detail-oriented, and so personable. I got the nachos with brisket, my husband got Brisket tacos and smoked & stuffed jalapeños, both kids got Mac n cheese, fries, and a salad. The salad had toasted cornbread for croutons, served warm. They were sweet, crunchy, and unique. Both the sweet and vinegar barbecue sauces were heavenly, and mixed together on the brisket they were an explosion of flavor - so good we bought a bottle of each to use at home for pork burnt ends. 10/10 Definitely Recommend, will be back even with the hour drive!
Excellent wings, cooked perfectly. I chose the smoked, which were drier naturally, but the meat was still moist and delicious. I should have gone with a beer to pair with the smokiness, but their sweet tea was great too I also had the jalapenos off the starters list, they weren't hot, but they had a natural jalapeno taste and even flavors throughout.
Great place to eat the burgers are delicious. Coleslaw is good with pineapple in it. Must try.
Good place to watch sports, they have several TVs here and will even turn on the sound if they aren't too busy and you ask nice. The BBQ nachos are my favorite here, bit they have a big menu with lots of options and a good selection of beer on tap. Good, friendly service and not too crowded the times I've been in.
I recently came for the first time ever in 2025, and back already! Tried the Original BBQ pork sandwich, Cole slaw on the side, and then pick another side! The food 🍲 overall is great, serving sizes are ample, service has always been great, cost is reasonable (!!), known as a friendly neighborhood hang out spot! Great for lunch during workdays, also!
I had an amazing experience at The Flying Pig Restaurant and Bar! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The real highlight of the night, though, was my server, David J. He went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let’s talk about the food! The Flying Shrimp was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold flavors. Then came the Game Day Combo, which was an absolute winner. The dry rub wings were seasoned to perfection, and the Smokehouse Burger was next-level—juicy, flavorful, and loaded with all the right toppings. If you’re looking for a spot with incredible food, great service, and a fun atmosphere, The Flying Pig is the place to be. Ask for David J you won’t be disappointed!
The food was delicious with healthy portions. They were short on staff when we went for lunch but those who were there never missed a beat! Our server, Serenity, was so pleasant and attentive. Best hushpuppies around. The limeade was really good.
The fries have this beautiful crunch. The hush puppies with honey butter are probably going to be at the divine feast in heaven after the end of the age. The sweet bbq sauce was consumed by itself by my kids using only their fingers as licking utensils. My particular server was a little slower than I hoped, but not frustratingly so. The pulled pork was as tender as a hug from your significant other after a long days work. I hope to go again.
Phenomenal BBQ! This will be our new BBQ spot the food was amazing and fresh! Best hush puppies I've ever had, the key lime pie was to die for! Fried pickles brisket sandwich was divine. Well.be coming back to try more!
About 22 of us showed up at our scheduled reserved time of 6pm January 17th 2026. Though not prepared in advance we all settled in the service in my opinion was good considering what our waitress had to handle, but she did make about 150 in tips. The food was the best I've had in I don't know how long. Having been in the business myself for 40 plus years. This is what we do every January to celebrate our birthdays while we are all still here. We definitely will be doing this again next year. The Crushes were wonderful
